Chelsee Strand from Foley, MN and her significant other Corey Hiller (Long time resident of Bemidji) hosted a Holiday "Pop Up" Sale at their home in the beginning of December. Perfectly placed in the pines of Northern Minnesota with over a 100 acres of serenity and scenery you could find this timeless and classic Christmas in the Country!
Chelsee along with her sister Heather Strand, friend Becca Dietz and uncle Bug (Kieth Strand) put together this creative venue and space. In over a 1,200 square foot heated shop they had a 200 piece cast iron pot and pan collection. Real fur pelts and a vintage fishing lure collection that had me calling my Dad back home about! At the sale you were able to find all things rusty and dusty, home decor, refurbished furniture, handmade leather earrings, custom insulated mugs and so much more! Chelsee kindly invited me up to host Mini holiday photo sessions during Saturday of the sale! It was well worth the 3 hour drive up!
Chelsee's sister Heather runs and operates a small decor business you can find on facebook (Esther Maries) here:
and she even more impressively has a design/decor account on Instagram (Farmhousefor8) you can find here:
Make sure to check her out! You might remember Heather from her Farm House Flip renovation we worked together on this past year. Clearly these two sisters have an eye for home design.

Chelsee & Corey's home was gorgeously decorated for Christmas and had touches of Chelsee's unique style found throughout the whole house. That same feeling flowed over into their space for the sale. Our friend Becca from the Local Farmhouse Market lent everyone a hand with setting up and was a huge help as always! I worked with Becca on her last sale the "Hillside Harvest Festival" you also might recall me posting about the sale previously! Becca just made the move to Bemidji and I am so excited for her! You can learn more about Becca and the Local Farmhouse here:

Sarah Ruhoff and I headed up Friday evening to set up our things since it's a bit of drive! Sarah is the co-owner of Good Souls Custom Creations! Where they create and hand make leather earrings! You can find more info on them here:
I slept next the wood stove with my trusty companion Harlee Chelsee & Coreys dog! You can find him in the first image below<3

Corey woke up super early to go what he called "chasing cats!" Corey is an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. I was highly impressed for his love and dedication of the outdoors. Chelsee made me some breakfast and I was able to drink a hot cup coffee while I watched a beautiful northern Minnesota sunrise from their porch. I sat inside at their kitchen table next to the wood stove with Harlee still by my side. I worked on the computer and relished in the peace and quiet. For a Mom of three and small business owner myself. I work from home with my children and it's extremely difficult and challenging every single day. But rewarding and worth it.

The ladies had headed into the shop to working greet arriving customers at the sale. My shift didn't start for a few hours. I love putting on Mini session events because of the people you meet! Of course this sale was filled with wonderful folks from all over. So much family & friends surrounded by us. It was nice to be apart that for a day. Chelsee really went above and beyond providing me a generous space to set up in. Which you can totally see in the images we were able to capture! I throughly enjoying working with families and children. I pride myself in being a family run small business. So I like to provide my families with nothing but the best! I was able to use a fresh cut Christmas tree for my set up and decor galore! Hill's Country Greenhouse had fresh cut Christmas trees and wreathes right on site! You can also see some of their gorgeous tress below! Check out how the holiday minis turned out!

I'm always in love with the down home and family oriented community my husband Cyle comes from. He is the reason I even know all of these incredible individuals. I overheard numerous shoppers ask if they put this sale on every year and were curious to learn more as they checked out! It was so heartwarming to hear that for how much time gets put into these sales! I wonder what next year will bring?!!

A Big thank you to my families who participated in the holiday mini sessions and Becca for helping me set up! You always know what kind of help I need before I ask!
